41st International Conference on Psychology and the Arts

The 41st INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON PSYCHOLOGY AND THE ARTS will be held at Amsterdam University College (AUC), in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.  The conference will be held from Friday, 27 June – Monday, 30 June, 2025. The conference sponsors are AUC and The PsyArt Foundation. Visit our website for more details.

Located in the heart of Europe, Amsterdam is a financial center and cultural crossroads, as well as a very enjoyable and attractive city with a lot of history and many attractions, including its famous canal system. It is also a travel hub and offers easy connections to other parts of Europe.

We invite 150-word abstracts for papers dealing with any application of psychology—including psychoanalysis, object relations, feminist, Jungian, or Lacanian approaches, cognitive psychology, or neuroscience—to the study of literature, film and visual media, painting, sculpture, music, performance, or the other arts. Although the majority of the papers will be in English, depending upon submissions, we may also have sessions in French, German, and other languages. The conference is convivial and draws scholars from around the world. We also warmly welcome conferees who do not present papers. A maximum of 75 papers will be accepted for presentation.

Abstract submissions: The deadline for abstract submissions is March 31, 2025. Please send your abstract to our Vice President Alexander Venetis. If your abstract is accepted, an acceptance letter and registration details will follow. If you do not plan to present but would still like to attend, you can go ahead and register by clicking here. (Presenters will be directed to the same site upon acceptance of their abstracts.)

Student fellowships: The PsyArt Foundation is offering two fellowship grants of $500 / €474 for outstanding graduate student papers (prior to completing the Ph.D.) Deadline for submission of materials is March 31, 2025. Visit our website for more details.
